<p>Oi has just launched a new advertising campaign for Collins Stewart Wealth Management at Guernsey airport that&#8217;s guaranteed to get noticed OUTside and INside.</p>
<p>After many requests, and years of waiting, the authorities finally agreed to allow advertising on the four main entrance/ exit doors to the airport. This is arguably the best advertising locations at the airport. So we were first to secure the space for our client and then came up with a really simple but very striking concept&#8230;</p>

<p>As you approach to enter the airport we placed the following messages on the doors: &#8216;INvesting in the islands&#8217; and as you exit &#8216;OUTstanding service&#8217;. On clean, white backgrounds with the logo, web address, and client&#8217;s orchid brand image, the response has been really positive.</p>

<p>Once you&#8217;ve seen the adverts all you have to do is cross the road to the taxi rank and jump in to one of the five Collins Stewart Wealth Management branded <a href="http://www.oi-you.com/client/collins-stewart-wealth-management/wheely-cool-new-taxi-campaign/" target="_self">London-style taxis</a>, also secured and designed by Oi.</p>

<p>The latest Collins Stewart Wealth Management taxi adverts are wheely nice.</p>
<p>The Oi creative team were given the brief to refresh the designs on the London-style taxis focusing on the high level of customer service that the wealth manager is known for.</p>
<p>So, they put their heads together and came up with three cracking concepts – a vintage car fitted with rally stickers and placed so it looks like it&#8217;s driving alongside the taxi, a simple magnified glass that emphasizes the client focus they have, and then the obligatory red carpet. A nice set of attention-grabbing adverts that use the mobile medium to maximum effect.</p>

Oi was responsible for the negotiation of an exclusive contract across all London-style taxis in Guernsey for Collins Stewart Wealth Management, which has proved to be a huge success in building their  profile locally.</p>
<p>In Jersey we also came up with the idea, and negotiated, the external branding of Jersey airport. This the largest advertising sponsorship in the Channel Islands and was renewed by Collins Stewart Wealth Management last year.</p>

<p>Waitrose, the supermarket chain of the John Lewis Partnership, whose reputation has been built on the quality and freshness of their food, has appointed Oi to work as its Channel Island marketing agency&#8230;<span id="more-7245"></span></p>
<p>“We are absolutely thrilled to be appointed to work with such a prestigious, quality brand. Everyone at Oi is looking forward to working with the team and using our local expertise to help Waitrose become the brand of choice for Channel Islanders,” said Heather Townsend, Account Director at Oi.</p>
<p>Waitrose recently acquired the Checkers stores at Red Houses and Rue des Pres in Jersey and Admiral Park in Guernsey, and the Safeway stores in each island. The stores will provide over 130,000 sq ft of selling space and open as Waitrose in a phased programme in early 2011.</p>
<p>The existing 480 employees in all five supermarkets will be offered roles within Waitrose and will have the opportunity to become Partners within the John Lewis Partnership. Waitrose is also creating additional jobs in each island and will invest in training and development for all employees.</p>
<p>&#8220;People in the Channel Islands have been telling us for years that they want a Waitrose. Our supply relationship with Sandpiper CI shows there&#8217;s strong demand for Waitrose quality food and I&#8217;m delighted that we will now be able to bring the full Waitrose offer to the Channel Islands,” said Mark Price, Waitrose Managing Director.</p>
<p>&#8220;The move is part of our strategy to make the Waitrose brand accessible to more people in more places and builds on our recent acquisitions from the Co-op and Woolworths, as well as our strategic partnerships with Welcome Break and Boots.&#8221;</p>
<p>In line with its commitment to local sourcing, Waitrose is planning to sell a wide range of food produced within the Channel Islands and will be working closely with local suppliers.</p>

<p>Offshore International has launched a new taxi advertising campaign for Collins Stewart Wealth Management featuring graphics of a life-size man and woman on either side&#8230;</p>
<p><span id="more-279"></span>Taxi driver Steve Poole said that the creative had got many people talking and passengers often changed positions in the back seat when they realised that from the outside, they were wearing the opposite sex’s clothes.</p>
<p>“The new branding has proven very popular with tourists. One of our drivers even had passengers from a cruise ship wanting to take photographs in front of the car. It’s good for Collins Stewart Wealth Management,” he added. “It has also been good for my business as it attracts people to our cars. I like the whole idea; you see a lot of heads turning as we drive past.&#8221;</p>
<p>Collins Stewart Wealth Management has a three-year contract for the exclusive rights to all London-style taxi advertising in the island. Head of Collins Stewart in Guernsey, Charlie Roger, said: “The taxis look very smart and are definitely eye-catching. It’s great to hear that they have been having such an impact with locals and holiday makers. I am glad we are using the medium to its full effect!”</p>
<p>I must point out that I am not actually wearing a skirt or high heels. Not my thing.</p>

<p>Every year hundreds of people are killed and injured due to driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. Some get away with cuts and bruises and a battered car, others are not so fortunate. Offshore International Advertising took the idea of an annual publicity campaign, to highlight the problem and get drivers to change their ways, to the Guernsey Police, and since Christmas 2004 we have helped cut the number of convictions and helped to make the island a safer place to be with strong and thought provoking campaigns designed for maximum impact with minimum budget&#8230;</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Over the years we&#8217;ve pulled out as many stops as possible to make the campaigns stand out in the public imagination and draw as much attention to the problem as possible; huge billboards (one with an actual car smashing through it), planes dragging the campaign message across the skies over the island, adverts, radio, posters and beer mats in the pubs, tee-shirts for bar staff, adverts on the urinals in pub toilets, direct mail pieces, organisation of PR, advertising on the buses, police cars and taxis&#8230;pretty much everything and anything that we could squeeze into the tight budgets. <p class="MsoNormal"><span>That’s exactly what we did for Collins Stewart Wealth Management to help them significantly build their brand profile in Guernsey. During the campaign planning stages we considered all of the various mediums and channels. But something was missing. Something different. With a fleet of London-style taxis driving around not carrying any advertising (unlike in London where it is unusual to see a plain black cab) we saw the opportunity. On average a London-style taxi in Guernsey spends 70 hours a week on the road. It’s a small island, so that means covering a lot of distance and passing a lot of places and people, especially at the airport&#8230;<span id="more-740"></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>So, we made a call to the Taxi Driver’s Federation, got the names of all the drivers, phoned them up, negotiated outline three-year contracts, then presented this to our client. They loved the idea of having exclusivity on all London-style taxis in the island and the exposure they would achieve. Next we had all the London-style taxis branded externally and internally, plus made sure that branded receipt cards were given to all the drivers. </span></p>
<p><span>Brand awareness of Collins Stewart Wealth Management in Guernsey is at an all-time high. It goes to show; thinking big can give your brand a real lift.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Collins Stewart Wealth Management wanted to significantly build its brand profile in Jersey. During the planning stages we reviewed and considered all standard communications channels available. Many were used in the integrated campaign, but we still wanted something really different to gain significant brand exposure. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">So, we went to Jersey Airport and asked whether we could secure a sponsorship deal to wrap the whole of the exterior of the airport. It wasn’t on offer, but after lengthy negotiations we brokered the deal and coordinated the entire installation&#8230;<span id="more-755"></span></span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">As the largest ever Channel Island outdoor advertising contract, reaching over 1,500,000 business and leisure travellers every year, it was a big idea that importantly achieved big results for Collins Stewart Wealth Management. </span></p>
