A beautifully shot and (in a couple of the executions) beautifully post-produced campaign for Mammadaba Latvia State Forests by MOOZ. Simple and direct but the lush photography and the 3D / Photoshop work really sell the idea. Some are better than others (the RUSH one is my favourite) but even so, the headline is a winner…top stuff. See all after the break…

In such a fast moving industry it’s sometimes nice to pause and take a glance back at some of the great campaigns of yore.

Target  Store’s “Big Hands” campaign hit Australia in 2007 at an annual Big Toy Sale…

Taking a blast back to the past back to 2007 when actors outside the Target Store in Australia gave the performance of a lifetime by dressing up as big toys with oversized hands attached to the back of their costumes suspendending  the onlookers sense of belief  which was well worthy of the bronze award they won for innovative media at the Clio Awards in 2007 and there shortlisting for Cannes in the same year. The Big Hands created the illusion that the performers were actually little toys being played with.

A giant applause (no pun attended) goes out to Big Hands campaign which was created in Melbourne, Australia by  Tony Leishman, Christine Isaac, Pat Lennox, Ben Green, Fiona Gillies and Rennie Freer.

smart car. Really smart idea.

BBDO Toronto came up with this truly awesome bit of ambient advertising to promote the smart car’s ability to park anywhere in a busy city environment. Click the photo to see the poster used to promote the ambient installation.

This is the guy that won the Audi Tony Stark Innovation contest to promote the R8 and won $15,000 to further develop his idea. His incredible invention consists of a small computer, a pico projector and a camera, all packed into an angle-poise-style light that projects the internet onto the desk, wall or anything you point it at. The camera watches this image and can detect if you touch anything: you can type on a projected keyboard, for example. I’m still speechless by the sheer awesomeness of this. I’m gonna’ have to go lie down.

This brilliant campaign for Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash from ESPM Brazil, is a beautifully simple premise and execution that makes me smile and wish I hadn’t had that cornish pasty for breakfast.

This is a little bit of genius mixing social networking with a bloody great outdoor bit of advertising.

Quite literally, bloody great…

From May 20th to the 22nd, the world’s biggest BlackBerry® smartphone (two stories high) will be on display on the Beaubourg Esplanade in the heart of Paris, France. It will broadcast messages and photos received via the message creator app on the Facebook fan page for BlackBerry France.

To broadcast your message, follow these simple steps:

• Visit www.facebook.com/BLACKBERRYFR and select the “Love concours” tab to load the message creator application.
• Select a wallpaper, and use the text tool to craft a message that tells everyone what you love to do. You can also select an image from your Facebook albums to accompany your message.
• Select the time and date you want your message to be broadcast, so you can tell your friends to watch for it!
• After your message has been created it will be broadcast during the 20th-22nd of May on the world’s biggest BlackBerry smartphone in Paris, France.

In addition, representatives onsite at the Beaubourg Esplanade will be able to help you voice your passions to the crowd. If you can’t make it, don’t panic! You will be able to watch the event via Live Stream on the Facebook fan page for BlackBerry France.

This humorous new campaign from CLM BBDO for Frolic dog biscuits depicts a familiar sight from the human world. Pretty, well groomed female pups with fat, unkempt dogs, imply that the females will happily lower their relationship standards to get their paws on Frolic dog biscuits. Hmm, they must be good!
