At Oi we have just discovered the next way to save the environment one coffee at a time. And being a creative agency we love our coffee!
Introducing the Keep Cup. The worlds first barista standard reusable coffee cup. Wow you say! Wait there’s more…

So Coca-Cola is bad for you, is it? Well, there’s always a positive for every negative, now isn’t there? So some people may moan that it’s bad for your insides and rots your teeth…but on the flip side of the coin it is really good for ‘actually’ cleaning coins and it does marvels for getting rid of stains in your toilet as well. So, the prospect of legions of toothless kidz running amok on the streets with foul breath and bad digestion has definitely been wrapped in a comfy blanket with a tasteful silver lining there I think we’d all agree.
However, Coke isn’t resting on it’s laurels as purely a head-on competitor to Domestos, oh no…now they’re taking on the insidious and evil bits of chipboard and laquered steel all shoppers fear…that’s right, The Display Stand.

Old bags…what a pain. What a waste of space. What a complete, utter annoyance they are. They’re everywhere for a start, getting under everyone’s feet, cluttering up the parks and the streets. They take forever to go away and even when they do, they clog up the earth for centuries.
And there’s millions of them…literally; millions and millions of the hateful things.
Well, PUMA are getting ready to do something about it and I for one am behind them 100% in getting ready to knock the old things on the head once and for all and make the world a cleaner and better place for all of us…

Could this become a familiar sight on our supermarket shelves? Design student Andrew Kim would hope so.
For his freshman product design project Andrew created not only a functional but simply stunning new potential packaging for Coke…

OK…sorry for the shameless Alan Partridge pun, but I couldn’t help it. Sue me…it’s been a long day.
Rightso, this is quite an exceptional idea and one that’s had me thinking of the possibilities most of the afternoon. I’m not gonna’ waffle on, I’ll let the cut & paste from Design Boom do that inside, but just think what the world would be like if every new building had this level of thought put into it?…

Having been thinking all things construction this past month a bit of pre production research turned up this eco house project which was of interest.
You can read more on the project here.

Last year we went green. Each week, for the whole of 2008, we researched and launched a new green initiative which would shrink our eco-footprint. (more…)
