In such a fast moving industry it’s sometimes nice to pause and take a glance back at some of the great campaigns of yore.

Target  Store’s “Big Hands” campaign hit Australia in 2007 at an annual Big Toy Sale…

Taking a blast back to the past back to 2007 when actors outside the Target Store in Australia gave the performance of a lifetime by dressing up as big toys with oversized hands attached to the back of their costumes suspendending  the onlookers sense of belief  which was well worthy of the bronze award they won for innovative media at the Clio Awards in 2007 and there shortlisting for Cannes in the same year. The Big Hands created the illusion that the performers were actually little toys being played with.

A giant applause (no pun attended) goes out to Big Hands campaign which was created in Melbourne, Australia by  Tony Leishman, Christine Isaac, Pat Lennox, Ben Green, Fiona Gillies and Rennie Freer.

Imagine life if all the drab and dreary grey buildings and structures were brought to life in vibrant colour. What a different journey to work we would all have. Surely it would be a better start to the day, being surrounded by colour rather than boring grey.

Well that’s the idea behind Dulux’s ‘Let’s Colour Project’…

One year on and the above advert for the Let’s Colour Project has been nominated by TED (a global non-profit devoted to Ideas worth spreading) as one of the “Top 10 Ads Worth Spreading.” The project started last March (2010) and has already brought colour to Brazil, France, the UK and India, where the local communities joined together in painting schools, streets, homes and squares.

Founders call the project, “the beginning of a colour movement that will spread around the world.”

A nice idea I think , that could brighten up everyone’s day!

This humorous new campaign from CLM BBDO for Frolic dog biscuits depicts a familiar sight from the human world. Pretty, well groomed female pups with fat, unkempt dogs, imply that the females will happily lower their relationship standards to get their paws on Frolic dog biscuits. Hmm, they must be good!
