Mick’s Fishing Supplies have been supplying the island’s fishermen with quality equipment, bait and knowledge for the past 25 years and they wanted a couple of radio ads to let people know this.

When faced with a long list of brand names and services to get across in 30 seconds, Natalie took the only option open to her to make these ads caress listeners’ ears a little…she added some sex.

Every year hundreds of people are killed and injured due to driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. Some get away with cuts and bruises and a battered car, others are not so fortunate. Offshore International Advertising took the idea of an annual publicity campaign, to highlight the problem and get drivers to change their ways, to the Guernsey Police, and since Christmas 2004 we have helped cut the number of convictions and helped to make the island a safer place to be with strong and thought provoking campaigns designed for maximum impact with minimum budget…

Over the years we’ve pulled out as many stops as possible to make the campaigns stand out in the public imagination and draw as much attention to the problem as possible; huge billboards (one with an actual car smashing through it), planes dragging the campaign message across the skies over the island, adverts, radio, posters and beer mats in the pubs, tee-shirts for bar staff, adverts on the urinals in pub toilets, direct mail pieces, organisation of PR, advertising on the buses, police cars and taxis…pretty much everything and anything that we could squeeze into the tight budgets. The radio and print campaign focuses not only on promoting its famous phone number 711666 but importantly its core services of loans, mortgages and insurance. A new website will be launched in the next few months.

“This is just the start of a much more strategic and cohesive marketing approach for Cherry Godfrey and we’re confident it will further position the brand at the forefront of islanders’ minds when they consider a loan, mortgage or insurance,” said Steph Brun, Offshore International Group Creative Director.

Over the years Offshore International Advertising have helped our friends at Aladdin’s Cave sell (via the miracle of broadcast-able sound) pots and pans, televisions, hi-fi’s, cutlery, sleeping bags, skiwear, tables and chairs, barbecues, glasses, cuddly toys, games, Barbie dolls, electric razors, curling tongs, coffee makers, Christmas trees, baubles, tinsel, Halloween costumes, fangs, fake blood, bins, digital cameras, microwave ovens, in fact all sorts of things. And of course, the store itself.

Not content with having the biggest toy department in Guernsey, Aladdin’s Cave have taken over the biggest one in Jersey as well…

A Hundred and One Toys is Jersey’s largest toyshop, crammed with everything possible a child would and could want to play with. The team at Aladdin’s Cave wanted to sprinkle a little bit of their magic on this Jersey born house of wonder and so they applied their breakthrough system of always offering the best products for the lowest possible prices. Offshore International Advertising took this proposition and created “MORE FUN FOR LESS” as a new positioning statement for the store.

Now we had something upon which to hang our hat, we went out and re-designed their press advertising, in-store posters and radio commercials.
