Burger meets Wisconsin cheese.

cheese-and-burger

What could be better than a variety of cheese burgers being showcased on the web in a neat little flip book you would find in an American roadside diner? Originality at its best, bringing the famous Wisconsin Cheeses and the burger into thirty, yes thirty, unique cheese burger recipes with a range of fillings from pepperoncini to ketchup.

This beautifully designed flash site with its old school wood texture and dials you would find on an ancient ‘wireless’ from the 1950’s really fits the bill for a novelty microsite designed to promote Wisconsin cheese. Each burger has a spoken description from an American man with a husky voice, Van Diesel eat your heart out. With multiple ways to navigate through the burgers and nice subtle sounds make the user experience even more appealing.

Using the pulling power that is social media, this site has used facebook to a gem allowing users to upload their photos of their own creations of the cheese burger, perfect for getting those all important follows or requests. With over 53,000 fans on facebook, it’s no wonder this project has been such a success and has made the already famous cheeses of Wisconsin not just an American joy, but it has been broadcast to the world, through the power of people, the customer, the friend of that customer and so on. Not only is social media good for getting some brand awareness, it is a great way to find out what your customers want by ‘listening’ to what they have to say, and just as important if not more to participate in those conversations, for them to gain trust in you and your brand.

The only downfall I would say is that after all that research and listening to that guy describe each burger, with my stomach in attack mode, you can’t buy one online!

But if you could… number 30 please, The Macho Nacho!

Go and find your dream burger at www.cheeseandburger.com and let me know which one takes your fancy.

If you fancy a burger-off, let me know!
