Two classic pilot boats were in Guernsey during July courtesy of Set Sail Trust. I had the privilege of sailing around the world on one and still made it back to the office for Monday.
The Scillonian Amelie Rose and the Bristol Channel Morwenna are replicas of their 1800s counterparts and were here as part of the Trust’s initiative – supporting the development of marine education and nautical activities.
I was a mere supervisor (turned camera crew) for a rope pulling, bow ducking and tiller wrestling group of young type 1 diabetics.
Our circumnavigation of the world and all those grins are caught on video here as a big thank you to all those involved.
