Printing process gets a tactile makeover.

Evelin Kasikov creates this beautifully tactile series of books and posters as part of her MA project entitled “Printed Matter”. She explores “the possibilities for printing processes to be integrated with textile techniques.”

The projected resulted in four books, The Element Book, The Type Book and The Image Book, and completes with a research book. The above image is an exploration into the representation of the cmyk printing process through textiles. The exectution of this project is stunning. I love the exposed hand stitched binding, keeping in style with the project as a whole. “As the work evolves from micro to macro this is reflected in the form of the books. The set is based on a golden section format, each book relates to the next as part of the Fibonacci series.”
