Artist Cheeming Boey creates these amazingly intricate pieces using just a Sharpie pen and standard polystyrene cups, and they sell for hundreds of dollars!…

In an interview with Soul Pancake, which you can read in full here, Boey says “I was at a coffee shop one day, and I wanted to doodle while I people-watched. I didn’t have paper, so I picked up a foam cup sitting on top of a trash can and started drawing. The design turned out pretty decent, so I started collecting these cups. I just kept drawing on the cups that my drinks came with.”

Boey goes straight to work with his Sharpie, no sketching beforehand, so he has no room for error, and the designs use the full circumference of the cup. I have no idea how he manages to get the design to meet in line when he has reached full circumference, but he does and the designs are awesome.
