Oi and TSL Digital join forces

Oi and a leading London digital, content and automation agency have joined forces.

The collaboration between Oi and London-based TSL Digital brings offshore, UK and global brands world-class strategy, creative, advertising, design, digital, content and automation services. It also creates the only agency in the Channel Islands with a London operation and one of the world’s first agencies with its own creative automation platform.

‘Having worked together over the past six months on a number of projects we realised that Oi’s strategy and creativity combined with TSL’s digital, content and automation expertise were a perfect fit, so we’ve created this new joint venture,’ said Peter Grange, Oi’s Chief Executive Officer.

‘Times have changed. In this coming decade marketing teams will need ever greater agility without compromising on creativity. This joint venture is designed to deliver both.’

The partnership creates a team of over 50 full-time staff across Guernsey, Jersey, London and west of the UK, with an additional Associate Global Network of over 250 staff, accessible anytime. Its leadership team includes Peter Grange, Chief Executive Officer, Steve Turnsek, Chief Operating Officer, Steve Mulholland, Chief Creative Officer, Joelle Wallser, Chief Client Officer, and Yiannis Poulakas as Chief Technical Officer. Other leadership appointments will be announced in the coming months.

Mr Turnsek was previously Head of Delivery at global creative agency Wunderman. He set up TSL Digital in 2007. The agency most notably built and delivered the global mindfulness app Headspace, provides digital and content production services for a number of top UK agencies such as adam&eveDDB and M&C Saatchi, and recently won a major digital contract for Nestlé.

‘The synergies between Oi and TSL are perfect. I see huge potential locally and globally in the two agencies joining forces. This is the first step towards a planned merger in the near future,’ he said. 

Mr Mulholland, who joined Oi as Chief Creative Officer last year, was a former JWT Creative Director where he was Lead Creative on the British Airways, Vodafone, Xbox, BT, Citibank, Microsoft and Nestlé accounts.

‘This is the beginning of a new chapter for Oi and TSL. We have ambitious plans, so watch this space,’ he said.

PROGRAMMATIC - Creative delivery for today’s data-driven, highly targeted marketing campaigns.

FAST-TRACK - A managed service, or self-service, digital production platform called Otomo for marketers to create high volumes of high quality content faster and at a significantly reduced cost. 

Owned and developed by TSL Digital over the past five years, Otomo is a market-leading content and production platform that enables advertisers to automate the creation of multiple assets including display, social, email, video and out-of-home. Otomo allows advertisers to produce and adapt any type of digital advertising campaign quickly reducing the need for large in-house or outsourced production teams. Clients have included Virgin Atlantic, Goodyear, Cisco, HSBC, Philips and many more.

Founded in 2004, Oi is the lead creative agency for HSBC delivering its islands and global expat marketing campaigns.
